Conversations come alive in Hangouts

You can see when people are in your Hangouts, tell when they’re typing, and whether they’ve seen your messages.

Come together face-to-face-to-face

Sometimes you just need to laugh out loud. Turn any Hangout into a live video call with up to 10 friends.

Come one, come all. Everyone’s invited.

Hangouts works the same everywhere – computers, Android, and Apple devices – so nobody gets left out.

Conversations come alive

Finally, conversations feel like being together in real life

You can see when people are in your Hangouts, tell when they’re typing, and whether they’ve seen your message about the change in dinner plans. Talk more, because you know your friends are listening.

Say more with photos

Sometimes you need to use more than just your words. With a Google+ profile you can share photos in Hangouts. Best of all, Hangouts automatically saves your photos in shared collections so you can easily view, edit and share them later.

Emoji

Smile. Wink. Ice cream? There’s an emoji for that. In Hangouts, more than 850 hand-drawn emoji can always help you make your point.

Remember when

Scroll back in time in any of your Hangouts to relive your best moments together. Because everything’s in sync, your Hangouts will also come right with you when you get a new phone. For messages or photos you’d rather not save, simply turn history off in any Hangout.

Come together face-to-face-to-face

Be together from anywhere

Sometimes you just need to laugh out loud. Turn any Hangout into a live video call with up to 10 friends. Who says you can’t be together even when you’re not?

One touch to call the whole family

With one touch, you can call a friend or a whole bunch. Video calls ring everywhere your friends have Hangouts. Whether they’re on their computer, phone or tablet, they’ll know you’re calling. If they’re not around or can’t pick up, Hangouts will let them know you were trying to reach them.

Put a smile on your face

Hangout apps and effects let you add a little more fun to your video calls from your computer. Add visual and sound effects, watch YouTube videos together, or capture a special family moment with a photo.

Everyone’s invited

Come one, come all

Stop worrying about what app to use to reach which friend. Hangouts works the same everywhere – computers, Android, and Apple devices – so nobody gets left out.

Hangouts + Gmail

Hangouts works right inside of Gmail. Take a break from email and send some emoji to your best friend. You can upgrade Chat to Hangouts by clicking on your photo icon in Gmail’s chat list.

Download Hangouts:
Google Play | iTunes App Store | For your computer

Hangouts are for everyone, even on Apple devices

Hangouts works just as well on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and it’s available right in the App Store.

Use Hangouts with your full keyboard

Hangouts works on your computer, too. So type away, share photos from your hard drive, and view shared photos full screen.

Notifications at the right place, right time

Get notifications just once. Once you see an alert, you won’t see repeats on your computer and Android devices. Snooze notifications when you can’t be interrupted.

Hangouts are better with Google+

Send photos, have 10 person video calls, and have Hangouts with your circles, all with Google+.

Tech Help Los Angeles - Ron Patterson (CEO)
Tech Help Los Angeles – Ron Patterson (CEO)

An “Eye-Opening” Experience:

On Wednesday June 6th, our CEO Ron Patterson of Tech Help Los Angeles was invited to a BIT LA (Black’s In Technology – Los Angeles) meetup at the Google offices in Venice, CA.

Patterson stated that his attendance at the meetup was an “eye-opening” experience. He was impressed by caliber of talent in the room and the knowledge and resources that were available. Google welcomed the group and embraced their efforts to come together and chat about different topics in technology. The group consisted of software developers, programmers, project managers, designers, analysts, and more from Raytheon, Google, Microsoft, CBS, and other private companies.

Ron Patterson of Tech Help Los Angeles was delighted to attend this meetup and plans to contribute to the organization’s goals to build a community of African American technology professionals who are working with or interested in Web-based and related technologies.

More Information about Black’s In Technology – Los Angeles:

The goal for Blacks In Technology Los Angeles (BIT-LA) is to create a vibrant community of like-minded African American technology professionals, innovators and enthusiasts who are working with or interested in Web-based and related technologies. We’re talking the whole techie gamut from bloggers, digital media specialists, community managers and web masters to web designers, social media strategists, PHP developers, online marketing experts, recruiters, software developers and project managers.

And of course the doors are wide open for those folks who are simply just passionate about all things technical.

We will meet regularly at least once a month for fun socializing and high level talks on the technology topics. We plan to feature educational meetups to learn latest technical developments in fields of interest. We also look forward to hosting mashup events with many of the multitude of great tech groups based in Los Angeles.

We also plan to participate in local startup events and help bring together Los Angeles-based developers and web entrepreneurs for possible business opportunities.

We feel this will be an excellent venue to exchange ideas and talk about web technology, innovation, open source, share our knowledge and experience with one another. Tell us how technology is changing the world. Anyone interested in tech is welcome!
