Check Your Backup!!!

Don’t fall into the old paradigm of “it will never happen to me.” While there is certainly a chance that you will never have a need for the backups you make of your files, if something does happen to your computer you will certainly be glad that you have them.

What is a Backup, Anyway?

Backup should be an essential part of your computing experience if you spend great amounts of time on your computer and/or use your computer for important personal or business dealings. There are too many stories of people who have lost all of their files due to system crashes or computer viruses to ignore. When you backup your files, you are storing your files separately from your computer. In this way, if your computer crashes or is infected with a virus that results in a loss of files, you will still have access to your files on backup disks or whatever other backup program you choose to use, such as online backup. You can then restore your files to your computer proper from these backup sources.

Why Do I Need to Backup My Files?

Don’t fall into the old paradigm of “it will never happen to me.” While there is certainly a chance that you will never have a need for the backups you make of your files, if something does happen to your computer you will certainly be glad that you have them. And you do not have to backup your entire computer, although this is certainly something that many people do, but only the files that are of the most importance to you. Some things are easily replaced, and there is no need to backup these sorts of things, but those irreplaceable documents or files that are yours and yours alone should be saved in a place where they cannot be damaged. That way, no matter what happens to your computer, you can have security in the fact that all of your files are available in backup.

Make It Work Computer Support

There has been a LOT of talk and chatter circulating about a well known IT Computer Tech Support company closing their business known as “Make It Work”. The company serviced thousands of customers from Santa Barbara through Los Angeles down to San Diego. This unfortunate situation has left ex Make It Work customers in limbo. Many of their customers are irate concerning their pending contracts and losing money to the business after abruptly closing shop. More importantly, since Make It Work did NOT allow their customers direct access to their service technicians, it has been a challenge to get in contact with the technicians they once trusted with their computers, data, and overall networks.

Due to the recent close of Make It Work’s business and services, Ron Patterson is gaining widespread exposure to his own business known as Tech Help LA.

Many ex Make It Work customers have diligently and hastily Googled and have found Ron Patterson’s whereabouts to get help with their computers for technical support.  Ron states “By the graces of God I was smart enough to have the courage to branch off and start my own business that made more sense using better tech tools and embracing remote technical support”. Ron left Make It Work on good terms almost exactly 1 year to the day before their business completely failed. 34 Jobs were lost and payroll was still pending and unpaid. Company cars were repossessed and customers ranted in disbelief.

As an option for ease of billing, remote support, and FREE email support, we offer a 6 hour package at a small discounted rate of $75/hour totaling $450 for 6 hours allowing for .5 hour minimum visits verses the standard 1.5 hour minimum.
